Leaving a Gift in your Will

After providing for your loved ones, leaving a gift to Family for Every Child in your Will can enable us to help other children and their families to have a brighter future for generations to come.

Family life isn’t always smooth sailing. That’s why we’re always developing ways to support them to stay together and to thrive. But we can only do this with help from people like you, whose support means that we can bring our big ideas to life.

By leaving us a gift in your Will, your generosity will mean that our global network of children’s charities can be there for more families who need our help. Your legacy would support our network of over 35 member organisations in over 30 countries, working together as one.

Contact us today at [email protected] for more information from a member of our Supporter Care Team – we’d be delighted to hear from you!

What your gift could do

From Rwanda to Russia, India to Indonesia, we’re working on locally-grown ideas that will help every child to have a family.

Research

We conduct in-depth research into what can be done to ensure a happy and stable family life for children, so we can design new ways to support others in the future.

Nurturing innovative ideas

When ideas have been seen to work well, we invest in developing them further. This means they can benefit more children in more places than ever before.

Sharing knowledge globally

Because we share our knowledge around the world, children in Kenya can benefit from ideas from Kyrgyzstan. In doing this, we’re accelerating change for children everywhere.

Pushing for childcare reform

Around the world we are working to reform care, so children who cannot live with their family do not have to live alone or in damaging state institutions.

A gift to Family for Every Child would help us to develop our work in these key areas, building a better future for children and families.

Types of Gift

Every legacy gift that we receive makes a difference to children and families. Here’s a quick guide to the different types of gift you can leave in your Will. If you’re not sure which is best for you, a solicitor will be happy to help.

A share of your estate

Once you have taken care of your loved ones, you can leave a share of, or the remainder of your estate to us. This is called a residuary gift.

A specific gift in your Will

You can choose to leave us a specific item, such as jewellery or even a house when making a Will. This is called a specific gift.

A gift of money in your Will

You can choose to leave us a specific amount of money in your Will. This is called a pecuniary gift.

A gift when a trust ends

You might want to set up a trust in your Will so that someone can enjoy the benefit of some money or property during their lifetime. Afterwards, the remaining money or property would then come to us. This is called a reversionary gift.

We encourage you to leave a gift without restrictions so we can be there for children in danger around the world, wherever they are and whatever they need.
